Anorexia and autism spectrum conditions

Look for ASCs when you are working with transfolks (or anyone) with an eating disorder or vice versa, people who are on the AS should be evaluated for eating disorders and nutrition issues generally. Nutrition is a huge issue for everything but certainly brain functioning. The whole “beige” diet is a serious problem, healthwise. Interesting too, that starvation itself causes some traits that would be autistic like to many interviewers.
Remember, too, that ASCs are such a varied group of clusters of behaviors. No one size fits all. I think these are all Baron-Cohen folks so reflect his biases.
